The 2026 AHA WA Accommodation Awards for Excellence Gala Ceremony was held on 30 March, and Novotel Perth Murray Street brought home a collection of wins that speak to the heart of what we do and the extraordinary people who make it possible every single day.

Having entered the evening as Finalists across 12 award categories, we are beyond proud to share the results.

Novotel’s AHA WA Accommodation Awards 2026 Wins

Novotel Perth Murray Street took home Gold in two prestigious hotel categories:

  • Gold Medal – All Abilities Hotel Award
  • Gold Medal – Environmental Services Award

Building on a Legacy of Excellence: AHA WA Accommodation Awards 2026

These wins build on a proud history of recognition at the AHA WA Accommodation Awards. From our first Finalist nominations through to Gold Medal wins, each year has seen our team push further… not for the trophies, but because excellence is simply how we operate.

The All Abilities Gold award reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring Novotel Perth Murray Street is a welcoming and accessible destination for every guest, regardless of ability. We are true suppporters of inclusion and diversity. Learn more about our Perth Accessible Rooms and discover how we care for guests with a disability and less-mobile holidaymakers.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised with the All-Abilities Award, which reflects our hotel’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible environment for both our guests and our team. This is something we are deeply passionate about, and it’s been a collective effort across the hotel to ensure everyone feels welcome, supported and valued. We’ll continue to build on this to make a meaningful difference in our industry,” – Jai McNaughton.

The Environmental Services Gold award recognises the meaningful work our team does every day to operate more sustainably – a commitment that runs through everything from our operations to our partnerships. The hotel is officially acredited by Ecotourism Australia and has a number of initiatives in place to promote sustainable travel.

Jai McNaughton wins Human Resources Manager Award

Our Talent and Culture Manager, Jai McNaughton, was awarded the Human Resources Manager Award. This was well-deserved recognition for someone who has championed inclusion, diversity and workplace culture at every turn.

From her board roles with Hospitality Disability Network WA and Women in Tourism & Hospitality WA, to her tireless advocacy for meaningful change within our hotel, Jai continues to inspire everyone around her.

“I am honoured to be recognised with this award. I truly believe that when people feel valued, supported and empowered, they do their best work and that’s when our industry thrives. This recognition reinforces the importance of putting people at the centre of everything we do, and I’m proud to contribute to shaping workplaces where people can grow and succeed,” – Jai McNaughton.

A Special Honour: Nathan Frost Inducted into the Accommodation Industry Hall of Fame

In what was described as a surprise twist on the evening, our Hotel General Manager Nathan Frost and Vice President of Operations for Accor Western Australia and Tasmania was inducted into the Accommodation Industry Hall of Fame, one of the most prestigious individual honours the AHA WA can bestow.

The Hall of Fame recognises individuals who have made an outstanding and lasting contribution to Western Australia’s accommodation industry. For Nathan, this recognition is a reflection of years of dedicated leadership, a genuine passion for hospitality, and an unwavering commitment to building a hotel and a team that Perth can be proud of.

Under Nathan’s stewardship, Novotel Perth Murray Street has grown into one of Perth’s most awarded hotels, from our Gold Medal win for Superior Accommodation at the 2025 AHA WA Awards, to being named Hotel of the Year at the 2025 Accor Pacific Awards. His vision for what the hotel could be, and his belief in the people within it, has shaped everything we have achieved.

This induction is not just a personal milestone, it is a moment for our entire team to celebrate. Nathan has always been the first to share the credit, and tonight we make sure it finds its way back to him.

“I’m incredibly humbled and honoured to be inducted into the AHA WA Hall of Fame. To be recognised alongside so many respected people in our industry is very special, and it’s a moment that makes me reflect on the many teams, mentors, owners, colleagues and family members who have supported me throughout my career. Hospitality is a fantastic industry, and it is one I genuinely love, and I’m very grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and the people I’ve worked with along the way,” – Nathan Frost.
